Job Posting Title: Project Coordinator Position Type: Professional / Unclassified Department: LSUAM Online - ID - LDE - Design & Project Management (Courtney R Hebert (00046908)) Work Location: Louisiana Emerging Technologies Center Pay Grade: Professional Job Description: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Design Optimization and Project Management, the Design Coordinator is responsible for a range of responsibilities related to managing the lifecycle of online course developments and instructional support assets in the LSU Online & Continuing Education portfolio across the LSU system. These responsibilities include monitoring and executing a course development and revision schedule, maintaining the quality and currency of templates and assets, and assisting the AD in organizing project logistics and stakeholder communications. The coordinator will be a key liaison between stakeholders, including instructional designers, faculty, subject matter experts, and program directors, across the LSU family of institutions. Job Responsibilities: Course and Support Asset Maintenance: 50% Develop and manage a detailed course development and revision schedule for courses developed across LSU Online and Continuing Education programs; Coordinate the scheduling of course development and revision meetings with program directors, instructional designers, and faculty according to development/revision timelines and priorities; Coordinate a systematic process for ensuring course materials are checked for currency and updates are communicated to stakeholders across the LSU system; Maintain a centralized repository for instructional design assets, including multimedia, documentation, and instructional materials Documentation Management: 30% Prepare project materials, including project folders, workflows, and documentation for course developments/revisions; Collaborate with the design team to maintain accurate and up-to-date project and design and development templates to align with industry best practices and standard development tools (e.g., Learning Management System). Data and Project Workflows: 15% Assist in project audits and provide updates on course development and maintenance activities, including tracking milestones and identifying at-risk projects; Track the schedule, amounts, and status of payments for course design projects; Organize and format data related to design projects, resource usage, and project timelines; Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Project Management and Design Optimization to continuously evaluate and refine course development, course maintenance, and special projects workflows to improve efficiency. Other duties as assigned. 5% Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Specific Experience: Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS) and project coordination. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with 2+ years of experience Specific Experience: Knowledge of instructional design principles and e-learning development tools. Experience in higher education course maintenance or instructional design. Degree Substitute: LSU values skills, experience, and expertise.
