Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting the production team by serving as the mechanical expert responsible for ensuring all production and support equipment are functioning optimally. This position involves performing preventative maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, filling equipment, and other industrial machinery, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing necessary repairs or adjustments. Additionally, the role includes basic electrical duties and package changeovers, while fostering continuous improvement and training team members on mechanical processes. Responsibilities Ensure production and support equipment are functioning properly. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on industrial machinery. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, implementing repairs or adjustments as needed. Conduct basic electrical duties, such as replacing motors and switches. Perform package changeovers on lines as required. Support the team on all aspects of operation. Train team members on mechanical processes. Focus on continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and repair skills. Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and manufacturing maintenance. Experience in industrial maintenance and electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and blueprint reading. Ability to perform preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance craft such as electrical and/or mechanical industrial knowldge.
