Safety Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager who will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety policies, industry best practices, and all relevant regulations to maintain a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader in safety program management and development.

Responsibilities

  • Take initiative as a self-starter and team player, driving improvements in safety programs and processes through collaboration and proactive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, industry best practices, and all relevant regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Identify and control hazardous conditions through job-specific safety standards, training, and corrective actions to prevent injury or property damage.
  • Partner closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to drive a proactive safety culture.
  • Mentor and coach onsite crews to instill safety best practices and maintain strong relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safety compliance and alignment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Safety Team to drive key initiatives, actively participate in program development, and contribute to continuous improvements.
Essential Skills
  • Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years dedicated to building construction safety.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of actual field experience in safety.
  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training within 2 years.
  • Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
  • Achievement of ASP or CSP required within 2 years of appointment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and lead implementation of corrective actions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in project management, construction, commercial construction, and estimation.
  • Experience working with subcontractors.
  • Experience with data center projects or large/complex projects.
Work Environment

The Safety Manager will work in a dynamic construction environment, engaging with various stakeholders including Project Executives, Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen. The role requires collaboration with the Safety Team and involves mentoring onsite crews. The position demands adherence to safety protocols and might involve working on large or complex projects, including data centers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
