Senior Structural Engineer

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for an Experienced Structural Engineer for our Building Engineering Group. The position will be a Hybrid office location at our Sacramento or San Diego offices.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing structural analysis, designs, and calculations for new and renovated building structures for aviation, federal, industrial, and commercial clients
• Preparing construction documents
• Assisting project managers to carry out project assignments
• This position has the opportunity to provide mentorship and guidance to team members and work with department staff to assist in planning the strategic growth of the team.
• Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, architectural, or structural engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience

The successful candidate will have any/all the following qualifications:

• Experience with high seismic structural design
• Experience with ASCE-41, Tier 3 Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit
• An SE license in California.
• Experience designing and detailing structural steel, light gage steel, concrete, masonry, precast, and heavy timber structural building systems
• Knowledge of codes, statues, and laws related to building design and construction
• Experience with RAM, RISA, SAP, and other structural analysis software

Salary Range: $120K $135K– Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
