The essential job responsibilities of the General Construction Carpenter are to perform construction, modification and maintenance/repairs to substations, tower lines and pumping stations; fabricate/modify and install forms, concrete and vinyl drainage systems. Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:
To perform the General Construction Carpenter role, you must:
-Have successfully completed Division's training program in Trencher-Backhoe Operation
-Successfully complete Placement/Performance Exercises
-Obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver's license from state of residence with Tanker Endorsement "N" (Note: Must be age 21 to receive Tanker Endorsement in the state of Tennessee.)
-Have a valid driver's license from state of residence

Physical Working Conditions:

Works outside. Subject to the hazards of construction work, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching, standing/walking for long periods of time, pulling, pushing, grasping, heavy lifting and working on proximity of high voltage in substations, transformer vaults, distribution/transmission lines, and while excavating.
