The Role
This position is a hybrid Engineer/PM/CCM role. The incumbent will work under the direction of the IPTS PM but also support APAC engagement in Japan and pre-sales efforts. The position will be customer facing and engage in support of the complete life cycle of all IPTS program orders in Japan. This involves pre-sales site surveys, development and implementation of technical solutions, and sustainment. The incumbent will meet directly and in person with DISA's Japan Field Offices at least quarterly to assess customer satisfaction and identify process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
The Main Responsibilities
PMO:
- Have sufficient Project Management experience to support the following.
- Work closely with Japanese customers, vendors, and internal IPTS team members to ensure smooth implementation and support of services
- Assist with status reporting of assigned orders
- Coordinate site access requests and test scheduling
Engineering/Sales:
- Acts as customer advocate, participating in pre-sales efforts including technical sales presentations, architecture design discussions, proof-of-concept engagements, and technical workshops
- Internal feedback loop to sales, PMO, carrier management teams regarding customer experience, product features/functionality, and service implementation/management.
- Technical knowledge across one or more Lumen technology pillars (Global network infrastructure, edge cloud capabilities, connected security, communication and collaboration services)
- Ability to lead & engage in complex discussions with internal ecosystem, driving solutions & outcomes with sales, product & engineering
- Understand the intra-Japan network architecture as well as the subsea network outward touch points with adjacent landmasses
APAC:
- Coordinate updates for enterprise customer orders with regional and local Lumen APAC stakeholders.
- Drive customer orders to meet delivery dates and increase monthly installed revenues for Japan and rest of APAC.
- Collaborate with regional Lumen APAC Sales teams to support sales of Lumen products and services in APAC.
- Leverage PM skills to lead local projects in Japan for business and customer requirements.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Be fluent in Japanese (Level 1)
- US citizen living in Japan
- PMP or equivalent of 2 years PM experience
- Have or able to achieve a Secret Clearance
