As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, youll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and dump trucks. This is a hands-on position for someone with a strong mechanical background and proven experience working with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.Pay: $30 to $35/hour, depending on experienceSchedule: Full-time, seasonal position with potential for year-round employmentEssential Functions and Duties: Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel-powered heavy equipmentDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issuesConduct inspections to ensure equipment is safe and fully operationalMaintain detailed service records and equipment logsOrder and manage parts inventory as neededCollaborate with field crews and operators to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (preferably in construction or excavation equipment) and a valid CDLStrong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and heavy equipment componentsAbility to read schematics and technical manualsReliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team Experience with brands like CAT, Komatsu, and John Deere preferredWelding and fabrication experience preferredAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screeningGet in touch!
