This position pays $38.60/hour along with a shift differential and is paid weekly!

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Electrical Technician is tasked with conducting advanced troubleshooting and repair for machinery and systems, aiding engineering and plant personnel in specifying, installing, and altering integrated systems, and offering technical assistance across all operation stages. A key expectation of this position is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily tasks as needed. This role holds accountability for ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance. Proficiency in various skill sets is essential, encompassing expertise in electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Post-high school training required, such as:
    • Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology or closely related technical field, or
    • Combination of education and experience (Skilled Trades programs or military training).

Experience:

  • 4+ years of automation and/or industrial maintenance experience. Food manufacturing maintenance preferred.
  • Experience with electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems and microprocessor troubleshooting and operation.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Windows-based software (Microsoft Excel, Word).
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills; able to research and use technical materials.
  • Must be or become proficient in SAP Maintenance.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization, including government officials, technicians, and vendors.

Special Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective team collaboration and ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Technical expertise in:
    • AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
    • Theory and application of electronic devices.
    • Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems (e.g., bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals).
    • Troubleshooting and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Inventory management and recordkeeping for critical parts.
    • Sealing equipment, robotic systems, industrial slicing, and meat injection equipment preferred.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel required (15 trips per year).
