Hiring A-Level Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled A-Level Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized construction equipment. This full-time position is initially based in Staten Island, NY, with paid travel to job sites across the East Coast as needed. The ideal candidate possesses top-tier diagnostic skills, field experience, and the ability to work independently.

**Responsibilities**

+ Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrains on trucks and heavy equipment.

+ Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles and trailers.

+ Troubleshoot and repair concrete cutting equipment such as saws, drills, and generators.

+ Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.

+ Travel to job sites for emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance, with all travel expenses covered.

+ Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.

+ Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to minimize equipment downtime.

**Essential Skills**

+ 510+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.

+ Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

+ Experience with construction equipment, including skid steers, compressors, and generators.

+ Valid drivers license, with CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.

+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in field conditions.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ ASE or OEM certifications, such as CAT or Detroit Diesel.

+ Welding and fabrication experience.

+ Familiarity with concrete cutting equipment is a plus.

**Work Environment**

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
