Performs duties such as: Drive and operate farm machinery, much of which is late model Case IH equipment equipped with GPS guidance systems, to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Operate self-propelled combine and other harvesting related equipment. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive truck to transport produce, water and supplies to fields, elevator and/or storage. Per state regulations, the employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving that requires CDL is required. Must be able to speak and understand English.
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
