Employees' duties include driving and operating farm machinery such as tractors and combining to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops wheat & beans. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed, and fertilize. They will haul with trucks materials, equipment, or harvested crops to designated locations. All items hauled are the property of the employer. There is no commercial hauling done. Daily routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and be team players when needed.
Requirements:
- Employees have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 30 days.
- Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
- NO TEXTING.
- No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
- Must be able to read, understand and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons.
- No Educational level is required.
- Must have three months of tractor driving installed with GPS and towed implements. Operate and understand computerized monitors.
In view of the statutorily established basic function of the Employment Service (ES) as a no-fee labor exchange that is as a forum for bringing together employers and job seekers, neither the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) nor the State Workforce Agencies (SWA) are guarantors of the accuracy or truthfulness of information contained on job orders submitted by employers. Nor does any job order accepted or recruited upon by the ES constitute a contractual job offer to which the ETA or a SWA is in any way a party.
