Design Engineer - New Technology Development

Overview Assist in the development of new refrigeration technologies to improve Hussmann products related to refrigerants, coils, compressors etc.; analyze thermodynamic test results and help model expected performance of new and innovative refrigeration systems and components. Responsibilities Work with other New Technology Development (NTD) team members to evaluate refrigeration sub-systems supporting new product introduction efforts within Hussmann Product Development Teams. Prepare new refrigeration sub-system and components for inclusion into Hussmann products. Develop test requirements to support the evaluation objectives, interpreting the results, and documenting the testing activities to direct and assist R D evaluation teams. Monitor and assist in the evaluation of new Refrigeration Sub-System evaluation projects. Work with suppliers of new refrigeration technologies to recommend and implement design changes on components and systems. Develop new refrigeration technologies from early readiness levels through demonstration phases and new product development phases to drive business growth. Develop engineering drawings, including detailed drawings using information provided from existing drawings. Interface with product engineers to verify that data pertaining to product specification is documented accurately and available for inclusion in Hussmann products Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline 2-5 years' experience, commercial refrigeration or related fields preferred. Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in engineering discipline

2-5 years experience, commercial refrigeration or related fields preferred.

Experience working in the Intellectual Property space and in technology development stages desired
