Manufacturing Estimator $75-80k/year Job Description In this position, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of estimating policies, procedures, and industry standards. You will be responsible for identifying the scope of work, conducting quantity analysis, and preparing cost estimates. Additionally, you will build and maintain vendor relations, solicit and evaluate quotations, and create written proposals to ensure customer needs are accurately documented. Responsibilities Identify the scope of work and perform quantity analysis. Prepare and evaluate cost estimates. Build and develop vendor relationships and strategies. Solicit and evaluate quotations from material vendors and subcontractors. Create written proposals and presentations. Process costing inquiries from internal and external sources. Develop schedules and confirm alignment with priorities and resources, defining the critical path. Communicate regularly with the supply chain for up-to-date pricing. Communicate regularly with operations management for accurate labor rates. Review and assist with the development of project scope. Collect historical cost data for future project estimates. Prepare estimates for management use in planning and scheduling. Essential Skills Strong estimation skills. Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships. Proficient in creating proposals and presentations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint. Experience with or willingness to learn ERP and Project Management Software. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in construction or material handling. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
