Sandblast Operator**

**Job Description**

As a Sandblast Operator, you will be responsible for the breakdown, repair, and reassembly of sandblast equipment. You will maintain blasting, taping, and coating machinery, ensuring any issues are promptly reported. Additionally, you will position pipes for blasting and shrouds for protection, operate the blasting control console, and apply primer, coatings, or tape as per customer specifications. You will read customer specifications and drawings to accurately determine the type of coating and position of holdbacks.

**Responsibilities**

+ Breakdown, fix, and reassemble sandblast equipment.

+ Maintain blasting, taping, and coating machinery, reporting any issues to the team leader.

+ Position pipes for blasting and shrouds for protection.

+ Operate blasting control console to perform blasting operations according to drawings and specifications.

+ Apply primer, coating, or tape as per customer specifications.

+ Read customer specifications and drawings to determine type of coating, position of holdbacks, and other specifications.

+ Conduct sandblasting and industrial painting tasks.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in general labor and construction.

+ Experience with sandblasting and production processes.

+ Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production lines.

+ Experience with concrete operations.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Industrial painting experience is preferred.

+ Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of sandblast equipment.

**Work Environment**

Candidates must be willing to work 7 12-hour shifts immediately, though occasional days off may be available. The goal is to run 12-hour shifts, 3 days on and 4 days off, but currently, shifts are 7 12s. A background in construction is beneficial due to the outdoor elements and heat. This is a 24/7 operation, requiring flexibility to make up work on sunny days if it rains.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.
