Building Engineer**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Engineer who will maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot various HVAC systems. The role involves repair and maintenance of fan coil units, building loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and forced air components. You will be responsible for identifying maintenance tasks or risks, coordinating with HVAC service contractors for repairs and installations, and documenting maintenance activities using CMMS. Additionally, you will perform basic electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous maintenance activities as needed.

**Responsibilities**

+ Maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot HVAC systems.

+ Repair and maintain fan coil units, building loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and forced air components.

+ Identify maintenance tasks or risks and coordinate with HVAC service contractors.

+ Document maintenance activities using CMMS.

+ Perform basic electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous maintenance activities when needed.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in commercial or large facility HVAC maintenance.

+ Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

+ Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, repair, and service.

+ Proficiency in painting, carpentry, boiler, EPA, air conditioning, and HVAC systems.

+ Experience with duct work, facilities, heating, and lighting.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ EPA (Type 1, Type 2, Universal) certification preferred but not required.

+ Formal training in HVAC maintenance.

+ Prior facility maintenance experience in schools, hospitals, or corporate campuses preferred.

+ Willingness to perform maintenance tasks unrelated to HVAC, such as painting, flooring, plumbing, and electrical.

+ High level of professionalism and customer service skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

**Work Environment**

The position is based on a college campus, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required to respond to emergencies or work up to 16 hours for special projects. The role requires professionalism and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
