Hiring Production/Forklift Operators - Multiple Positions Open! Location: Independence, IA 2nd & 3rd Shift Available $17/hr Starting Job Description As a General Production Worker, you will undertake a variety of tasks including sit-down forklift operation, pulling and loading totes, grinding corn cobs, monitoring and operating machinery, and performing heavy lifting of over 50 pounds. This role requires flexibility and the ability to perform diverse duties daily. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts for approximately 30% of the job. Pull and load totes efficiently. Grind corn cobs and monitor machinery to ensure proper functionality. Operate machinery and perform heavy lifting tasks of 50+ lbs. Adapt to various job duties each day as part of a utility position. Essential Skills Prior on-the-job forklift experience. 6+ months of experience in a production environment or farming. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, assembly, general production, machine operation, cleanroom, packaging, hand tool use, machine operating, construction, or agriculture. Ability to perform physical work and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a dirty, hot environment. Not afraid of heights and capable of climbing ladders.
