ECS Limited is a high-performance concrete construction company delivering municipal, commercial and industrial projects across Nebraska. Were looking for a proactive, organized Estimator to help us win new work, strengthen strategic partnerships, and contribute to our growth.
This is a results-driven role offering independence, flexibility, and a chance to help shape how we scale. Ideal for someone who understands how to price work competitively and build industry connections.
Responsibilities:
- Use OST (On-Screen Takeoff) to complete accurate quantity takeoffs
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to source competitive pricing
- Maintain and improve internal cost/pricing databases
- Format all quotes using ECS Limiteds standardized bid style
- Use QuickBooks for organizing job costing
- Source pricing across jurisdictions and market segments
- Collaborate with field operators and project managers for practical costing
- Identify scope gaps, bid risks, and adjust terms and conditions as needed
Proactively seek out new project opportunities and build partnerships with related industries (e.g. pile driving, asphalt, or property management firms)
Weekly Bidding Targets:
To stay competitive, our target workload is:
5+ small bids/week (under $500K)
23 medium bids/week ($500K$1.5M)
12 large bids/week ($1.5M+)
Totaling 1 - 5+ jobs per week
Targets may vary pending difficulty and details.
Focus is on quality and win potential not just quantity.
What You Bring:
- Strong estimating experience with OST and spreadsheets
- Proficiency with QuickBooks for costing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to follow ECSs bid formatting standards
- Self-motivated and able to manage a consistent bidding schedule
- Bonus: Experience or interest in developing partnerships to generate new leads
Compensation:
Base Salary: $3,000/month
Performance Bonus:
Starts at 0.5% of net profit per awarded and completed job
Opportunity to earn up to 1.5% based on track record
Bonuses are paid after the client has paid in full
