Position Summary:
The SMT Machine Operator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining production equipment used to create PC boards with Surface Mount Technology. They will assist with the operation, setup and maintenance of SMT assembly equipment, solder application equipment, computer controlled in-line convection ovens, and semi-automatic adhesive dispensing equipment.
Position Hours: 6AM to 3:30PM Monday to Thursday; 6AM to 10AM Friday
Potential Earnings: $23
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform inspection of PC boards
- Operate and adjust SMT assembly equipment
- Perform product/equipment changeover as necessary
- Complete daily logs
- Set up machines, including machine adjustments and replenishment of supplies and components
- General maintenance and cleaning of machinery
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Must be flexible and agile to support Lenze business needs and mission and may be assigned projects and/or other duties outside of normal job functions to meet the needs and demands of the business.
Requirements
Qualifications Include:
- 2-5 years of circuit board assembly and component identification
- Fundamental mechanical knowledge
- Preferred experience with Panasonic or Hanwa pick and place equipment
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions and BOMs
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and hand-tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry standards and workmanship acceptability standard a plus
- Basic computer skills, math skills and simple record keeping
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
