Civil Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to lead production and design efforts for aviation, commercial, residential, and mixed-use land development projects. The role involves designing site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility systems, along with preparing and reviewing construction documents and cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Design site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility systems.
- Prepare and review construction documents and cost estimates.
- Lead production and design efforts for various land development projects.
- Prepare improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications for commercial development projects.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D.
- Expertise in site layout and site design.
- Experience in civil engineering and land development.
- EIT certification is desired with a plan to obtain PE within 12-24 months.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of grading and drainage design.
- Experience in site development and civil design.
- Ability to prepare site plans.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week once training is completed. The role includes occasional site visits with clients and involves working within a team of five engineers, with plans to expand the team to twelve. There is ample room for upward mobility, progressing towards a project engineer and eventually a project manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.27/hr.
