The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills, technical fluency in utility systems, and cross-functional leadership experience in the energy sector. As a leader of services team, you will lead/manage our Solution/Application Architects, Designers, testing team and work closely with customers to ensure that Oracle products are implemented to meets the needs of our clients, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the enterprise DERMS solution.
Your subject matter expertise, combined with your program management experience will help us successful implementation of DERMS software projects for different Oracle utilities customers with high customer satisfaction along with meeting Oracle consulting services goals.
**Responsibilities**
+ **Program Leadership & Strategy**
+ Define and drive the overall DERMS program lifecycle across planning, development, pilot deployment, and full-scale rollouts, aligned with utility/grid modernization goals.
+ Lead cross-functional teams including IT, grid operations, regulatory, and vendors to deliver key milestones on time and within budget.
+ Manage risk, scope, and stakeholder expectations across multiple DER integration projects.
+ Lead multi-year, multi-million-dollar DERMS initiatives for utility customers and regional partners.
+ **Stakeholder Management & Customer Engagement**
+ Act as the primary point of contact for client / program executives and stakeholders.
+ Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, client teams and regulatory bodies.
+ Support program planning workshops, stakeholder meetings related to program updates and interoperability.
+ Lead workshops, working groups, and customer innovation sessions to capture requirements and co-develop scalable solutions.
+ Provide subject matter expertise in RFP responses, regulatory filings, and roadmap presentations.
+ Support the creation of proposals, technical reports, and customer presentations to articulate the benefits and technical aspects of our DERMS solution.
+ **Technical Oversight**
+ Collaborate with technical teams to design and deploy DERMS platforms that support real-time monitoring, control, and optimization of DERs.
+ Guide architecture discussions to ensure seamless integration of DERMS with ADMS, SCADA, AMI, and Distributed Intelligence (DI) platforms, aligned with program goals.
+ Evaluate DERMS vendor solutions, software integration capabilities, and scalability.
+ Drive vendor coordination, system interoperability (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR, IEEE 1547), and standards-based interface development.
+ **Compliance & Reporting**
+ Ensure program adherence to NERC, FERC, IEEE 1547, CA Rule 21, and utility-specific DER interconnection standards.
+ **Governance & Metrics**
+ Establish program governance structures, risk frameworks, and reporting dashboards to ensure visibility, transparency, and alignment.
+ Develop KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting mechanisms to track program success and value realization.
+ Deliver clear executive summaries, business case updates, and post-deployment performance evaluations.
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Science, or related field (Masters preferred).
+ **Experience:**
+ 710 years of program or project management experience in the energy or utility sector.
+ 3+ years of experience in implementations projects related to Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) platforms, grid operations, and utility control systems.
+ Project management expertise in projects comprising of solutions related to Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), SCADA, or similar platforms.
+ Strong experience with integration of energy technologies such as solar PV, wind, storage systems, electric vehicles, and demand response.
+ PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred.
+ Experience with DER integration, demand response, VPPs, or grid-interactive technologies is a strong plus.
+ **Skills & Competencies:**
+ Understanding of DER technologies and programs and their role in modern grid management.
+ Excellent client/ stakeholder management, communication, leadership and regulatory engagement skills.
+ Experience in leading and implementing complex, enterprise projects
+ **Preferred Skills:**
+ Expertise in evolving utility business models around DER participation, NWA (non-wires alternatives), and performance-based ratemaking.
+ Knowledge of distributed intelligence applications and edge computing environments.
+ Working knowledge of OpenFMB, IEEE 2030.5, and grid interoperability standards.
+ Ability to interpret grid simulation or hosting capacity results and translate into program insights.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
