Job Description

The Associate I will work on multiple fast-paced projects, working with senior staff, and providing office support on a variety of projects.

  • Review and interpret construction documents with support from Supervisor and other members within the practice area
  • Participate in construction site observations and assist in preparation of technical reports with photos and pertinent information
  • Management of project deliverable distribution such as subpractice report and invoice issuance, assigning internal quality control reviewers and aiding with client requests related to reporting and invoicing
  • Effectively coordinate with other team members as requested or assigned, able to proactively monitor own progress on assigned tasks or projects, and ensure work product produced by self or in collaboration with other assigned team members is consistently high quality
  • Support assigned Supervisor in monitoring of all relevant data such as individual utilization performance vs target, client deadlines, accurate and timely timesheet data, etc.
  • Meet or exceed defined individual average utilization goals as set forth by company leadership
  • Coordinate and support other team members as assigned, with emphasis on positivity and in support of a culture that is empowered to execute
  • Effective management of select assignments within the region; meeting budget and delivery timeframes; ensuring client satisfaction
  • Ensuring that assignments are executed with technical proficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Be aware of and work in a manner that supports the organizations vision and defined business objectives
  • Cooperate in construction of strong cross-functional teams (cooperate with any suggested project assignments outside of original assigned practice area) to achieve success in shared goals, understanding that multiple perspectives and talents build stronger teams and results
  • Ensure compliance of operations with all local, state and Federal (and International, if applicable) regulations, as well as compliance with company policy
  • Assist with project file setup and electronic filing
  • Local travel as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management preferred. Bachelors degree in Business Management, Accounting or Architecture are also a plus

Certification and Licensees

  • OSHA-10 or -30 certification preferred, but not required

Experience

  • 2 4 years experience. Internships or prior work experience a plus
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Work in a consultant setting. Track your time and monitor activities against a budget

Knowledge & Skills

  • Must be able to perform complex tasks and handle multiple priorities, and have the ability to perform exceptionally under high stress conditions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient, well-organized and positive attitude when approached with challenges and realities of construction management and consulting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated self-awareness and flexibility in working with a variety of personalities and work styles (colleagues, clients, assigned supervisors)
  • Requires excellent technology, computer, and document management proficiencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Word
