Material Handler Job Description Join our team as a Manufacturing Operator, where you will contribute to the creation of first-quality products in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with essential machinery and equipment, rotating through various tasks to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to transport materials within and between departments. Inspect materials, components, and production equipment according to established standards. Ensure products meet production requirements and quality standards. Maintain a clean work area per required standards. Complete routine forms, safety, and environmental inspections and other paperwork as needed. Understand, practice, and support safety standards in all work and locations within the plant. Perform general tasks and complete routine assignments under moderate supervision. Essential Skills Experience with sitdown forklifts and palletizing. Shipping experience is required. Previous manufacturing or production experience is essential. Ability to frequently walk, stand, climb and lift/leverage 50+ lbs. Effective communication skills and teamwork ability. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Crane experience is a plus. Experience with RF scanner and pallet jack. General labor and material handling experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a global manufacturing setting specializing in residential and commercial flooring products. Our facility operates Monday to Friday, offering a first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with options for extended 10-hour days depending on the department. Be prepared for potential overtime to meet production needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of SALEM, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
