HVAC Technician

New Journey, a Genesis10 compmany, is actively seeking a resource for a full time, 4 month Contract position with potential for extension or conversion.

Compensation : $43.50 per hour

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The technician ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and GMP regulations (if applicable).

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, VAVs, exhaust fans, ductwork, and refrigerant lines
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment according to CMMS schedules
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and determine the most effective repair methods
• Adjust system controls to recommended settings and test performance
• Respond to work orders and emergency calls in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Work collaboratively with building maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors
• Follow proper Lockout/Tagout procedures and other site safety protocols
• Support equipment change-outs, system upgrades, and new installations
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair (preferably in a commercial or industrial setting)
• EPA 608 certification
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerants, controls, and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Familiarity with GMP standards and cleanroom environments is a plus
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• At least one year working in BioPharma or Pharmaceutical industry.
• OSHA 10 certification
