Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in the design and evaluation of large-scale HVAC replacement and complex projects. You will engage in tasks such as conducting surveys, performing site and project evaluations, conducting load and energy calculations, selecting equipment, and coordinating directly with manufacturers. You will also be responsible for designing permit and construction drawings and managing construction administration efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage third-party consulting firms.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing deliverable overviews, recommendations, and progress updates.
  • Interact with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to review, define, and design projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Organize, plan, and run multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction, ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Apply knowledge of building and energy codes.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in design and mechanical engineering.
  • Expertise in HVAC and MEP design and engineering.
  • Experience with REVIT designer software and AutoCAD.
  • Strong skills in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite applications and load calculation programs (HAP experience is a plus).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in the AEC field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in MEP/tenant interior design.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment on a multi-disciplinary team.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
