Concrete Worker

As a Concrete Worker with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support our customers on upcoming commercial projects located in Clarksville, TN and surrounding areas. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and construction drawings
• Set forms for footings, slabs, walls, curbs, and structural elements
• Accurately tie rebar, wire mesh, and structural steel according to spec
• Pour, screed, finish, and cure concrete for commercial and civil applications
• Operate concrete tools and machinery: vibrators, floats, trowels (power & hand), saws, etc
• Maintain safety compliance at all times (OSHA-minded is a must)
• Collaborate with foremen, trades, and project managers to stay on schedule
• Mentor apprentices or less experienced team members, when needed
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on concrete experience (commercial, industrial, or heavy civil preferred)
• Proficient with formwork, rebar tying, and flatwork finishing
• Able to work off blueprints and layout plans independently
• Must own standard hand tools and PPE
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
• Strong work ethic and team-first mentality
