Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and construction drawings
- Set forms for footings, slabs, walls, curbs, and structural elements
- Accurately tie rebar, wire mesh, and structural steel according to spec
- Pour, screed, finish, and cure concrete for commercial and civil applications
- Operate concrete tools and machinery: vibrators, floats, trowels (power & hand), saws, etc
- Maintain safety compliance at all times (OSHA-minded is a must)
- Collaborate with foremen, trades, and project managers to stay on schedule
- Mentor apprentices or less experienced team members, when needed
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on concrete experience (commercial, industrial, or heavy civil preferred)
- Proficient with formwork, rebar tying, and flatwork finishing
- Able to work off blueprints and layout plans independently
- Must own standard hand tools and PPE
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
- Strong work ethic and team-first mentality
