Job Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Design Engineer II performs complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.
What you'll do:
Performs more complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems. Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.
Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating.
Manages a single phase of a project.
Provides guidance to less experienced engineers.
Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support design of project.
What you'll need to be successful:
3-4 years' experience.
In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
What you bring to the table:
Four-year degree in Engineering or related field.
PE license preferred.
