Metal Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Metal Worker to join our team. You will be working Monday through Friday, from 7am to 5pm, utilizing hand and power tools such as shears, breaks, punch forming presses, and rolling and crimping machines to cut, bend, and shape metal. Your role will involve fitting piping, tubing, and ducting for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as installing metal roofing sheets, guttering, and downspouts. Additional tasks include using drills, screw guns, pop rivet tools, and soldering irons for forming and sealing details, and rolling and installing various styles of metal roof panels, wall panels, and metal edges. Responsibilities Utilize hand and power tools to cut, bend, and shape metal. Fit piping, tubing, and ducting for HVAC systems. Install metal roofing sheets, guttering, and downspouts. Use drills, screw guns, pop rivet tools, and soldering irons for forming and sealing details. Roll and install metal roof panels, wall panels, metal edges, counter flashing, and wall flashing. Inspect projects for safety, ensure proper specifications are followed, and maintain a tidy workspace. Essential Skills Proficiency in sheet metal work and general labor. Experience in construction and installation. Ability to interpret blueprints. Skilled in using power and hand tools. Experience in sheet metal installation and press brake. Additional Skills & Qualifications Physical fitness and stamina to carry heavy metal to heights. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and construction workers. Detail orientation to ensure precise measurement and fitting. Dexterity for precise placement and securing of metal. Critical thinking for problem-solving during projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Ulm, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
