KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field and 4+ years of relevant design experience OR equivalent combination of education and applicable experience
  • Ability to read construction plans and other construction documents
  • CAD design experience with substantial experience in Building Information Models (BIM) and construction documents using various BIM related software
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and work independently
  • Excellent communication, and time management skills.

Preferred :

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit and 3DMax/Sketchup VR experience
  • Bachelors degree in industrial design

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborate on commercial kitchen design projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and management of budgets and schedules.
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
  • Provide extensive design development at a schematic level
  • Participate in selection of kitchen systems and specifications; specify preferred vendors wherever possible.
  • Create and present schematic design presentations to clients
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Review Construction documents and coordinate any required revisions with outside consultants.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and post-construction punch list meetings.
  • Work with consultants, equipment manufacturers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
  • Prioritize and communicate project schedules and design objectives.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Collaborate with Sales Reps, Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure that projects are completed accurately, within budget and on time.
  • Participate with Sales in business development and marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
