JOB SUMMARY:
Manages and coordinates the work of Engineering shift placing particular emphasis on overseeing the quality of the technical maintenance of casino facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Keeps equipment, systems, building and grounds ready for use by completing preventative maintenance schedules; restoring and repairing faulty or inoperative equipment and systems; recommending changes and new installations.
- Completes HVAC maintenance operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Responsible for compliance on OSHA requirements and company safety program.
- Skilled in various mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
- Monitors facility systems and equipment, and make adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Complies with required codes and standards by directing and monitoring and inspecting systems and equipment.
- Implements changes, expansions, and additions to systems and equipment by identifying problems; keeping abreast of new developments.
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
- Assists with set up for special events.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Reports To: Shift Supervisor or Facilities Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to five years experience in HVAC preferred.
- Preference given to certification in HVAC.
- Education, self-directed learning, career development, or related field.
- HVAC maintenance operation requirements
- High school or GED education recommended. Experience may substitute for schooling.
- Good character, motivated, hard working.
- All Certifications for Electrical & HVAC, as well as commercial experience.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Blood Pressure must fall under accepted guidelines by the American Heart Association or clearance from a medical doctor.
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations to stand for long periods of time.
- Must have bending mobility to reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to lift up 25 to 30 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds.
