Pipe Fitter**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter with extensive knowledge and experience in pipe installation and testing. This position requires proficiency in various pipe fitting techniques and the ability to work effectively in a shipyard environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Adhere to J1 and J2 requirements during pipe fitting tasks.

+ Demonstrate reliable transportation for daily work commutes.

+ Maintain a good attendance record and exhibit strong team collaboration.

+ Perform brazing for face feed and insert applications.

+ Execute bending and rolling offsets using hand and machine benders.

+ Conduct tack welding on pipes and hangers.

+ Understand and apply standard items related to pipe installation and testing.

+ Prepare piping for backing rings and butt welds using grinders or cutting machines.

+ Follow PCPs and CWPs along with the proper WAF and drawings.

**Essential Skills**

+ Prior experience with P-1 piping and P-2 high energy pipe testing and installation.

+ Familiarity with QA checkpoints and necessary paperwork during checkpoints.

+ Ability to read micrometers and feeler gauges.

+ Capability to identify pipe material.

+ Basic knowledge of STD 777 standards.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Brazing qualifications for face feed and insert.

+ Knowledge of bending rolling offsets and 90s on a hand bender and machine benders.

+ Understanding of tack welding, pipe, and hangers.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00/hr.
