Marine Electrician Job Description Seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our dynamic shipyard team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with shipboard electrical systems and demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and government drawings. This role requires an understanding of EPISM, ISO9001-2008 standards, and the ability to perform both Standard Item 009-16 and 009-36 tasks independently. Responsibilities Familiarize with and adhere to EPISM requirements. Understand and practice ISO9001-2008 standards. Follow procedures for Work Packages. Accomplish Standard Item 009-16 and 009-36 independently. Conduct electrical tests with proper technical documentation. Read and interpret government drawings. Perform job assignments with all required documentation and contribute to report writing. Maintain productivity in the absence of a supervisor. Identify and minimize unnecessary costs. Possess knowledge of Work Authorization Forms (WAFs). Distinguish color code phasing (orange, brown, yellow, black, white). Essential Skills Experience with shipboard electrical systems. Proficiency in using voltmeters and ohmmeters. Ability to install, connect, and perform operational testing of shipboard electrical systems. Knowledge of electrical power and lighting systems, sound powered phones, and electric heat and ventilation equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
