Job Description

New Journey, a Genesis10pany, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 3-month Contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $29.50 per hour

Looking for an Electrician that will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems inmercial and industrial buildings. Ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting fixtures.

Read and interpret blues, schematics, and electrical drawings.

Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.

Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety andpliance with regulations.

Install and maintain building automation and energy management systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.

Collaborate with other trades and facility management team members on projects and maintenance tasks.

Respond to emergency electrical issues in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time and materials used.

Ad to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards.

Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical work.

Required skills/experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of experience as amercial or industrial electrician.

Valid electrician's license as required by the state of New Jersey.

Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.

Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blues.

Experience with building automation systems and energy management systems is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellentmunication and customer service skills.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends for emergency calls.

Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Able to stand, walk, climb, and maintain balance for extended periods.

Preferred skills/experience:

Vocational training or associate's degree in electrical technology
