Department: Engineering
Summary:
Designs clear, complete and accurately working products using CAD, rough, or detailed sketches, or notes. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
Primary Duties:
* Makes drawings, checking material dimensions and relationship to other parts and to the entire structure or project on the drawing
* Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards
* Verifies dimensional accuracy of structural layouts and installations
* Works with manufacturing, vendors and engineering to ensure documentation meets specifications
* Must work with sales team and customers on design and applications
* Constructs drawings from concepts or sketches
* Review and critique proposed engineering standards, policies, or details
* Prepares charts for representation of statistical data
* Provide technical advice to manufacturing, sales and customers to assist in resolving problems.
* Must be able to effectively present information to clients, customers and employees
* Work with and support ISO 9000 work instructions and procedures
* Maintain accurate records and files

Requirements Qualifications/Experience: * Equivalent to a two or four year degree preferred with major course work in an engineering curriculum or a related area of study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job * Knowledge of Solid Works - 2007 or newer * Knowledge of electrical circuits and hydraulic system design * Must have strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry * Excellent computer knowledge and skills with drafting programs * Excellent communication skills required * Must be detail oriented and possess a willingness to accept challenges and strive for continual improvement in all areas * Must be safety minded and practice shop safety * Must be self motivated to work independently
