JOB SUMMARY:
The Master Electrician is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for overseeing and executing all electrical work related to the console building of high-end pontoon boats. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and boat construction techniques. The Master Electrician will also play a key role in training and mentoring other team members to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Play an active role in promoting positive employee relations and engagement
Actively support and participate in a culture of safety and continuous improvement within assigned facilities
Lead and perform complex electrical assembly tasks, including wiring and installing electronic components in boat consoles.
Interpret and execute designs from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in boat consoles.
Conduct quality checks to ensure the electrical systems' functionality and adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Train, coach, and mentor other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with Supervisors, Group Leaders, and functional support to achieve daily work targets.
Adapt to changes in responsibility, processes, procedures, or work schedules as needed.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Extensive experience with electrical system assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
Physical ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, and climb throughout the workday in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Willingness to achieve certifications through company-sponsored training.
Proven work experience as an Electrician or similar role.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Previous experience in boat manufacturing, particularly in console building, preferred
Certifications in relevant technical skills or trades preferred
