**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This role will be for the Rayville, LA project location. The batch plant operator is responsible for making quality concrete and providing it in a timely manner to the production crew. It is the batch plant operators responsibility to ensure that all the concrete we produce meets the required specifications.
**WHAT YOULL BE DOING**
+ Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
+ Uses computer of manual controls, efficiently batches product with proper mix and making necessary raw material adjustments; understand the proper use of each mix design.
+ Completes customer orders, schedule deliveries, paperwork and plant maintenance.
+ May run front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge plant with aggregate, sand or other materials; assists plant management as needed with other duties as assigned.
+ Ensures that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
+ Effectively communicates with the drivers to efficiently complete customer orders; ability to schedule deliveries to meet customer needs.
+ Must be able to climb ladders, lift 75 lbs and work in a dusty, cold/hot environment.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience
+ Excellent oral (telephone) communication skills; bi-lingual communication skills are a plus; ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers
+ Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time; able to prioritize work; strong organizational skills
+ Experience with dispatch systems, personal computer, telephone
+ Wet batch experience a plus
+ Light mechanical experience

+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
