- Select and maintain tools, materials, supplies and equipment

necessary to perform required maintenance. \*

- Document recognized work requirements according to plant maintenance

procedures. \*

- Inspect, perform preventive maintenance and repair steam turbines

and related auxiliaries. \*

- Inspect, perform preventive maintenance and repair steam boilers and

related auxiliaries, including clean up. \*

- Inspect, perform preventive maintenance and repair air compressors

and related equipment including reciprocating and turbo compressors,

intercoolers, piping and valves. \*

- Inspect and repair centrifugal and axial fans and associated dampers

and lubricating oil systems. \*

- Inspect, perform preventive maintenance and make repairs to the coal

conveying equipment including crushers, conveyors, flop gates,

chutes, pulverizers, feeders and other related equipment. \*

- Inspect and repair air and steam soot blower systems including

piping and associated valves. \*

- Inspect and repair river intake equipment including cranes,

traveling water screen sand circulating water pumps. \*

- Inspect and repair steam and water valves, traps and piping; repair

the unit condensers, deaerators and feedwater heaters. \*

- Inspect and fit journal bearings including scraping and taking

measurements to assure proper operation, replace antifriction

bearings, install couplings, and align shafts and couplings. \*

- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance and repairs to motor

driven boiler feed pumps and associated auxiliary systems. \*

- Operate the house crane, cutting torches and welding equipment for

other than certified procedures. \*

- Select cable, ropes and assemblies rigging; work platforms, braces

and supports as needed to safely accomplish repairs. \*

- Adjust clearances and aligns moving parts using rules, calipers,

micrometers and other measuring instruments. \*

- Remove and install insulation and lagging relative to work

assignment. \*

- Operate Mobile Crane, Forklift, and Yard Truck. \*

- Perform similar and incidental related job duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements (Abilities):** Incumbent must be skilled in

reading and interpreting engineering drawings, working drawings and the

maintenance manuals used in the analysis, repair and testing of

malfunctioning mechanical equipment and systems. Must be to work

overtime, holidays, regular days off and other schedules as needed. Must

have a good attendance and safety record.

Incumbent must train and qualify to operate a mobile crane, forklift and

yard truck during probation period.

equipment necessary to perform maintenance.
