Project Manager

Our start up client is looking to bring on a temp to perm Project Manager who will work onsite in their Somerville office 5 days per week:

Start = ASAP

Duration = temp to perm

Location: Somerville, MA

Onsite 5 days per week some occasional travel required

This is a temp to perm opportunity:

Pay on temp side = $58 $64/hr

Pay on perm side = $125 -140K (plus benefits, bonus)

The Role:

Were hiring a Project Manager to lead the execution of external deployments, support internal project coordination, and stand up the foundational systems for supply chain operations. This role is equal parts doer and builder, perfect for someone who has led solar or HVAC projects across multiple sites and thrives in early-stage environments.

Youll be responsible for managing client-side project execution, coordinating internal stakeholders on a case-by-case basis, and implementing part-tracking and procurement systems as we scale toward production.

What Youll Do:

External Project Management

Own all aspects of field project execution, site scheduling, vendor coordination, installation timelines, and client communications.

Manage multiple external projects concurrently, often in different stages and locations.

Travel up to 25%

Act as the key operational point-of-contact for customers and field partners.

Internal Project Execution

Lead internal projects, including initiatives in product ops, deployment readiness, and process rollout.

Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability across engineering, operations, and leadership.

Ensure internal stakeholders stay on track and bottlenecks are escalated and resolved quickly.

Supply Chain & Procurement

Build and manage a part tracking system across vendors, timelines, and internal needs. Oversee procurement processes, sourcing, POs, vendor communication, and inventory forecasting.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure materials are available for testing, pilots, and scale-up.

Systems & Accountability

Introduce tools, templates, and trackers that increase visibility and execution rigor.

Create project dashboards and reporting mechanisms for leadership.

Identify and close operational gaps before they impact timelines or quality.

What Youll Bring

5+ years of project management experience, ideally in solar, HVAC, or energy systems.

Proven multi-site scheduling and external project coordination experience.

Strong understanding of hardware supply chains, vendor management, and procurement workflows. Comfortable building new systems from scratch, tools, processes, or relationships.

Clear, concise communicator who knows how to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

Startup experience is required, youve built the plane while flying it.

Project Management experience.

Creating and executing project schedules and timelines.

Project tracking tools such as MS Project, Trello, Basecamp, Asana, or Notion

Preferred but Not Required:

Bonus: Familiarity with part-tracking tools or ERP systems; PMP or similar certification.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $58 to $64 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
