As the Regional Merchandising Operations Manager you partner closely with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization on the evolution and management of regional merchandising processes, with a specific focus on the inputs and outputs of the Merchandising teams across NAM, APAC and EMEA regions. You partner, connect, track and disseminate global trends and impacts, supporting continuously to identify process improvements to maximize efficiency and achieve business targets.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

If you were in the Regional Merchandising Operations Manager role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Managing all inputs and outputs of the Regional Merchandising team with relation to the Innovation to Consumer (I2C) calendar, ensuring deliverables and ownership are clear
- Understanding the regional business and their needs; sharing and relaying context to the global teams (and vice versa)
- Overseeing feedback processes and distributing feedback templates to assess ongoing process changes
- Digesting data, summarizing trends and creating executive summaries to inform best practices
- Ensuring I2C deliverables are on time and that any risks or changes are communicated and solutioned with the Product Creation End-to-End Process team
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners to evolve Regional Merchandising processes, with an emphasis on how the Regional Merchandising teams plug into the broader end-to-end product creation processes
- Collaborating with the Product Creation End-to-End Process team to document end-to-end processes
- Partnering closely with Regional Merchandising senior leadership team and regularly disseminating updates and information to relevant stakeholders throughout the business
- Creating and maintaining visual assets and data summaries of the process that communicate upcoming milestones and stage gates
- Creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process mapping tools, maintaining user guides and online help tools
- Using, distributing and updating standardized templates as required
- Analyzing the current business processes and collaborating with users to identify process improvement areas
- Building and recommending new process, process flows, tools or systems solutions that are aligned with company goals
- Setting clear timelines and deliverables with global teams to inform regional team needs and local deliverables
- Building close relationships with the Regional Merchants to support change management initiatives and stakeholder engagement
- Upholding Fair Labor Associations Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arcteryx supply chain
- Partnering on the evolution and improvement of key Regional Merchandising processes
- Solidifying the Global and Regional Merchandising business process outcomes; contributing to ongoing projects and change opportunities to enhance linkage between Regional Merchandising and cross-functional partners
- You have 5+ years experience in an operational role in the apparel industry with a focus on Merchandising, Product Development, Wholesale and/or Retail Buying roles
- You have a strong understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry, and you are familiar with the key outdoor activities we make products for
- You appreciate working within a calendar; you have strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- You have effective and efficient time management skills, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills
- You have an excellent understanding of the I2C process
- You have strong leadership and teamwork skills, able to facilitate work across multiple internal departments, and effectively collaborate with our global teams
- You have the expert ability to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems and business requirements
- You have confidence in communicating and collaborating amongst large and diverse audiences
- You are proficient in the use of Adobe, Microsoft Office and SmartSheets and or similar project management tools
- You are willing and able to travel within regions as required for tradeshows, presentations, meetings, consumer events, etc.
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You are highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You demonstrate the ability to balance autonomy and collaboration well
- You demonstrate the ability to inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You possess the drive to seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
