What You’ve Accomplished

  • Completion of a BS in Business, Engineering, a related field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 8 years of project work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of major project management plan development, implementation, and administration
  • Strong business and/or technical expertise in a related technical capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff & management
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills with emphasis on "root cause" analysis
  • Excellent report development and presentation skills

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management & Quality Processes.
  • Nuclear Industry Safety knowledge is considered an asset.

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Project Manager in Pickering, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. This role includes:

  • Managing a variety of Engineering, Procurement & Services projects, with a team of project coordinators and engineering staff.
  • Interface with customer representatives on a daily basis, ensuring all contract deliverables are executed to the highest levels of safety and quality.
  • Responsibility to the Product Line Manager for safety, quality, cost and schedule for all projects managed.
  • Organizing and chairing daily/weekly project meetings.
  • Maintaining all managed projects within the Framatome Project Reporting system.
  • Providing support in field as needed.
General duties include:
  • Preparation of project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
  • Utilizing approved project management methods and processes to execute low risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Actively participating in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
  • Preparing project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
  • Developing assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
  • Coordinating multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizing team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.
  • Defining and forecasting needed skills to meet project objectives, including managing the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices.
  • Providing project leadership for major commercial design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation, supply or component replacement projects.
