Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Site Assessment Project Manager to join our Facilities Sector. The Site Assessment Project Manager plays a key role in overseeing environmental investigation and remediation efforts. They coordinate the work of Master Services Agreement (MSA) contractors across a broad range of servicesincluding Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, soil and air compliance evaluations, health and safety risk assessments, and the development of remedial action plans. The role involves managing project budgets and schedules, supporting contract development for remediation teams, and advising OEHS leadership on technical and operational matters. This position is central to ensuring regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and the successful execution of environmental cleanup activities.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and coordinates work conducted by environmental site assessment Master ServicesAgreement (MSA) contractors in the areas of:
    • Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
    • Soils Disposition Evaluation (Compliance with Specification 01 4524)
    • Soils Evaluations (applicability of SCAQMD) Rule 1466)
    • Health/Safety Risk Assessment
    • Preliminary Environmental Assessment
    • Remedial Investigation / Feasibility Study
    • Public Participation Plan
    • Preparation and implementation of Removal Action Workplans / Remedial Action Plans
    • Poly chlorinated biphenyl survey and mitigation
  • Assists in contract development and oversight of remediation contractors
  • Establishes and maintains project budgets, including contract management, and schedules pertaining to environmental investigations and remediation efforts
  • Provides technical advice to Office of Environmental Health & Safety (OEHS) Management in terms of oversight of environmental site assessment contractors as well as contractor budget and schedule control
  • Prepares and coordinates the environmental review process for individual projects with the Facilities Services Division (Facilities) requirements for:
    • Project scheduling
    • Budgeting
    • School design and construction
    • Emergency response
    • Waste disposal
    • Demolition
Qualifications
  • Seven (7) years of full-time paid experience in the management of environmental investigations and remediation conducted under the direction of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) or comparable regulatory agency.
  • Site investigation and remedial strategies; federal, state, and local environmental regulations; DTSC, Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) and South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) protocols.
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree, preferably in Geology, Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualification:

  • California Professional Registration (Certified Hydrogeologist, Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist) preferred.

Salary Range: $114,400 - $130,000 per year

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Environment: Onsite
