Roadway Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Roadway Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of roadway projects. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop roadway plans, including alignment, grading, drainage, and pavement design.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data and assess project feasibility.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
  • Perform traffic analysis and modeling to optimize roadway design and improve safety.
  • Provide technical support during construction and address any issues that arise.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of roadway design standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
