Quanex is looking for a Customer Service Representative/Production Planner & Scheduler to join our team located in Chatsworth, IL .
The Customer Service Representative/Production Planner & Scheduler is responsible to develop a strong relationship with internal and external customers. This position is also responsible for managing specific product families using material planning, production scheduling, and capacity planning.

What Success Looks Like:
- Builds strong relationships and resolves issues between customers and manufacturing plant(s).
- Communicates with customers, sales managers, and manufacturer’s representatives concerning orders, quotes, returns, shipments, and products.
- Provides quotes to customers by coordinating with the Pricing, Engineering, Production, and Sales Teams.
- Collaborates with customers to establish procedures, guidelines and lead-times when developing ordering schedule and/or patterns.
- Informs customers about any shipment delays and/or information required to process their orders.
- Regularly reviews and monitors reports and collaborates with relevant personnel to ensure orders are completed and shipped.
- Ensures the customer master record is accurate.
- Assists with customer price reviews, increases and customer communications.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent 5 years’ experience required
- 2 years’ experience in a customer service role
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and strategic thinking
The salary range for this position is $53,100 to $66,000 with potential to earn an annual bonus.
