Primary job function is to perform the highest quality welds; must pass inhouse weld tests.
Fabrication of ASME code pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other misc. steel components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Welding: mig and tig welding in the flat, horizontal, vertical up, and overhead positions.
Mig & tig welding is a must.
Use of both manual & semi-automated welding equipment.
Unloading trucks alone and with others; both by hand and/or with multiple styles/sizes of forklifts and overhead cranes. Unloading will be from (but not limited) flat beds, box vans, and parcel trucks.
Document items - heat numbers, part numbers, welder documentation and misc. testing as required.
Request and then handle materials.
Use best judgement / practices of handling and storage of items.
Understand AWS welding symbols.
Ability is fit tanks, duct, & structural steel is required; these skills will be taught if needed.
Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.
Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis.
Keep site clean: primarily individual work areas / secondarily laydown yard, around buildings etc.
Assist maintenance periodically, minimal basis.
Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects the highest level of professionalism.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Training in vocational schools, related on-the-job training experience or an Associate's degree.

- Perform medium duty work.Access to mechanical equipment for heavy lifting and assistance from others is available for heavy lifting.
- No lifting over 40 pounds alone - must use either / or a combination of mechanical assistance or another qualified co-worker.
- Ability to work both inside & outside during all weather conditions that may be experienced at this job site. If bad weather is possible, employee must seek the proper shelter immediately and wait for the passing of the weather condition.
- -Employees will be working outside year-round and must wear the proper clothing to perform the tasks.
