Hours: 6:00AM-2:30PM (Over time as needed)

We are looking for a Motorized Material Handler to join our team!

Summary:

Under general supervision, operates both sit-down and stand- up lift trucks to provide parts, and materials for assembly line operation. Place parts and finished boilers, etc. at proper storage areas. Keep assembly pick zones neat and orderly by discarding used shipping materials in proper receptacles. Loads and unloads incoming freight and outgoing boilers, castings, etc. Able to make decisions as to proper method of loading trailer to utilize space, protect load and get the most quantity aboard.

In addition, but not limited to the above requirements, this individual will be required, at times, to possess, troubleshoot, repair, or maintain the following:

  • Operates forklift and various loading equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Store finished boilers in storage areas as required.
  • Familiar with all component parts of each series of boilers.
  • Follows shipping orders supplied or verbal instructions to insure proper loading and utilization of trailer space.
  • Maintain parts stocked for assembly line. Responsible for supplying the work stations with necessary parts and upon completion of work performed, will remove assembly from area and prepare to reload the area/or work station with new material/assembly.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Follow OSHA required PIT regulations.
  • Performs related work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grades.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures and decimals. Ability to compute rates.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Basic knowledge; ability to operate scanners

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift license

Other Skills and Abilities: Basic Blueprint reading; use and understanding of measuring devices; use of mobile device

Safety Requirements: Protective Footwear Ansi Z41 Class 75, hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, neoprene/insulated gloves for filling LP cylinders and cloth or leather work gloves.
