The Construction Project Engineer (PE) plays a critical role in supporting the Project Manager and field team by handling the technical and administrative aspects of construction projects. Client Details This West Palm Beach based contractor is a well-established commercial construction firm specializing in ground-up, tenant improvement, and design-build projects across various sectors, including office, retail, healthcare, education, and industrial. They're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join their growing team and support the successful execution of complex commercial construction projects. Description Assist in managing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues. Track material procurement, delivery schedules, and lead times. Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and progress tracking. Maintain logs and reports for quality control, safety compliance, and project documentation. Participate in jobsite meetings and assist with field coordination between trades. Monitor and report on construction progress, helping to identify and resolve delays or issues. Assist in preparing close-out documentation, punch lists, and project handovers. Work with the Project Manager to ensure all work complies with plans, specs, and codes. Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams when needed. Profile Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. 1-4 years of experience in construction project support, preferably in commercial construction. Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and documentation. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. A proactive attitude and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment. OSHA 10/30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
