As a member of the Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) team, you will support the development and sustainment of assets and projects throughout the Resort. Your role will involve providing technical expertise, problem-solving, and quality assurance for a wide range of projects, from shops and attractions to hotels and maintenance facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Produce facility feasibility assessments for proposed projects on a variety of building types and occupancies.

Review construction drawings for completeness and constructability (QAQC).

Act as an Architectural Owner's Representative for projects from concept through construction.

Manage the design and development of project construction drawings and specifications with internal and external resources.

Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with Disney standards, codes, and regulations.

Ensure that the overall project design intent is achieved by successfully integrating facility design with partner design disciplines and components of the supporting development such as: infrastructure, area development, grading/drainage, area lighting, graphics, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, showset, ride engineering, etc.

Coordinate with various engineering disciplines and internal Disney project teams.

Liaison with city officials and external agencies to ensure project compliance with external requirements.

Mentor architects and facility designers on career development and technical efforts.

Basic Qualifications | What We Look For

Direct experience in the preparation of architectural contract drawings and specifications in a wide range of project types and construction practices.

Direct Construction Administration experience including site observation visits and review of RFIs and Submittals.

Demonstrate a positive and proactive mindset.

Familiarity with all phases of design and construction.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Extensive knowledge of the California Building Code, health codes, CalOSHA, and the ADA.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Required Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited school.

Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in Architecture.

Architectural License in the State of California.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following programs: Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, ACC/BIM360.

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing coordination experience.

Master Planning Experience.

CASp Certification.
