We are looking to hire an excavation laborer to join our growing team!
POSITION SUMMARY
Job Description:
Laborers must be self-motivated and hardworking individuals that will perform tasks involving daily physical labor at construction sites including operation of hand and power tools of all types. Cleaning and preparing work sites, assisting equipment operators with requested duties and will be a customer service advocate.
Position Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Digging trenches, grading, drilling and excavating for site prep, water line work, sewer line work, and or septic system installation
- Loading and unloading materials, hauling dirt and transporting equipment to and from job sites
- Running heavy machinery and trucks
- Removing debris and hazards from job sites
- Cleaning tools, equipment, vehicles and job sites
- Lift, carry and manually transport construction materials, tools and supplies
- Adherent to safety policies and procedures
- Working with others and promoting a teamwork environment
- Ability to speak with customers and place a high priority on excellent customer service
- And/or other assigned duties
Position Qualifications:
- Experience in general labor, construction, or other related fields
- Familiarity with basic construction equipment, tools and vehicles
- Basic construction mathematics
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Must be able to work in changing weather conditions including rain, sun, snow and wind
- Strong work ethic: reliable, dependable, and effective communication skills
- Must have own vehicle to drive to and from job sites
- Must have clean driving record
- Must be willing to obtain CDL within 1 year of hire
Salary Range: $15-$25 per hour
Benefits:
- Pay is based on experience and qualifications
- Employees are eligible for overtime compensation after they work greater than 40 hours in a work week
- No healthcare benefits offered at this time, nor is paid time off
