Position Overview:
Weckworth Mfg., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator/Bill of Materials (BOM) Creator to support our Engineering and Production teams. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our production workflows begin with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage detailed Bills of Materials for sewn goods, assemblies, and fabricated components across our diverse product lines.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs from customer-supplied technical drawings, CAD files, and internal designs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Estimating, and Production departments to ensure BOMs align with specifications, design intent, and sourcing requirements.
- Integrate BOMs into our ERP system and support cost estimating and planning workflows.
- Maintain revision control and support engineering change orders (ECOs) as designs evolve.
- Standardize components and materials wherever possible to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , materials, and construction methods especially within the industrial sewing and soft goods sectors.
- Proven experience creating BOMs and performing material takeoffs from engineering drawings or CAD.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP/MRP platforms, JobBoss, and document control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specs, and customer documentation.
- A commitment to accuracy, organization, and proactive communication .
- Bonus: Familiarity with sewn products, industrial contracts, and ISO 9001 environments.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar manufacturing/job shop environment.

Hours:
- Monday - Thursday - 7:30am to 5:30pm, Fridays 7:30am - 11:30am
- $25-27/per hour
