Press Brake Operator**
**Shift:** 12pm - 8:30pm M-F (Will train on first 6am - 2:30pm)
**Pay:** $18.50/hr
**Location** : Downtown Jacksonville (32204)
**Job Description**
This position involves bending sheet metal using a brake press. The candidate must be able to understand and measure angles and work off of prints. The operator will be responsible for moving dies, making corrections to the machine, and ensuring the metal is bent at the correct angle. This role involves the production of HVAC roofing curbs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Bend sheet metal using a brake press.
+ Understand and measure angles accurately.
+ Work off of blueprints and ensure precise fabrication.
+ Move dies and make necessary corrections to the machine.
+ Ensure the metal is bent at the correct angle.
+ Troubleshoot any issues with machine operation.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with press brake operations.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifically flat patterns.
+ Proficiency in CNC machine operation.
+ Strong measuring skills and industrial math knowledge.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in manufacturing and production.
+ Skills in machine operation, including shear, punch press, saw operation, and plasma cutting.
+ Metal fabrication experience.
+ Quality traits such as positive attitude, ability to learn, and strong work ethic.
