Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a global leader in the manufacturing of premium building products and related technologies, is currently seeking a Tapered Designer/Estimator to join our Hunter Panels Technical and Warranty team. The Tapered Insulation Designer/Estimator is responsible for developing tapered insulation designs, calculating piece counts, and generating price quotations for Tapered Polyisocyanurate Insulation projects based on a variety of media sources. This role involves daily communication with sales representatives from Carlisle SynTec, Versico, and Hunter Panels, as well as roofing distributors, contractors, and Hunter Panels OEM customers. The individual will support architects in specifying Polyisocyanurate Insulation products, while also consulting with roofing contractors to refine tapered designs, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and provide general customer support. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some extended hours or weekend work may occasionally be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret architectural plans and specifications
  • Design, estimate and price tapered roof insulation quotations for customers
  • Work daily with Architects, General Contractors, Roofing Contractors on design and budgetary constraints
  • Communicate with contractors on revisions to projects to close the sale
  • Generate working shop drawings for submittals and product installation
  • Provide onsite customer support, job startups, installation expertise and field verification where needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Essential Full Performance Knowledge:

  • CAD (Computer Aided Design) program(s)

  • Excel

  • CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) software

  • Mathematic ability

  • Basic Roofing industry knowledge

  • Essential Full Performance Skills:

  • Ability to read Architectural plans and drawings

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Customer Service skill set

  • Essential Full Performance Abilities:

  • Ability to work with mathematical and statistical applications as they apply to the function of the position

  • Written and oral comprehension and expression

  • Inductive and Deductive Reasoning

Education and Experience:

  • Required:

  • Associate's or Technical Degree in Drafting, Construction Design, Construction Technology, Mechanical Drafting or similar

  • Preferred:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a related field
